DVB-S2 Transmitters/ Dense Modulators

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Karrya Dense Modulator is an advanced DVB-S2 transmitter with a GigE interfaces. Karrya product include up to 4 Modulator in the same 19” 1U form factor – the smallest available in the market.

Karrya Dense Modulator provides cost effective way to deliver IP traffic over satellite link. Combined with Karrya Ultra Modem Family, the Modulator offers complete solution for SCPC IP over satellite transceivers (Modulator and De-Modulator).

Small form factor allow smooth integration into “On the Move” systems.

This modem designed with satellite transmission in focus. The modem implementation is based on advanced engineering methods that eliminate the bottleneck caused by CPU load. Each modem support payload rates of up to 150Mbps.

The Modulator provides a complete solution for delivery of IP traffic over DVB-S2 satellite link.

GigE input assure true support for the bit rates supported by the DVB-S2 advance modulations.

The LAN interface can act as L2 or L3. Traffic is handled in L2 or L3 per VLAN.

The Modulator support full implementation of Multiprotocol Encapsulation (MPE) based on ETSI EN 301 192 in both Packed and non-Packed mode.

The Modulator implements the new Generic stream encapsulation, based on ETSI TS 102 606 and ETSI TS 102 771(Optional)

Modulator internal ACM manager allow simple and effective implementation of DVB-S2 ACM. The ACM Manager support UDP/IP based communication with the remote receivers

For efficient implementation of VCM and ACM mode, the Modulator support adaptation of the traffic to assure high utilization of DVB-S2 base bend short and normal frames
